The Porsche 904 GTS, produced from 1963 to 1965, was a road-legal racing car featuring a glass-fibre-reinforced plastic body manufactured by Heinkel in Speyer.
As Peugeot held the naming rights to the three-digit numbers with a zero in the middle, the 904 was officially marketed as the "Carrera GTS". The mid-engined coupé enjoyed numerous successes on the racetrack, including an overall victory in the Targa Florio and class victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 12 Hours of Sebring.
